So one of the best ways to tell our brains it's okay, we can turn off, that amygdala bit of the brain is to activate your senses because those are more associated with the type part of your brain that thinks and reasons the radiophobic that's the part that can pay attention to those things you turn that off if you're in fight or flight so getting people to recognize and use their environment and use this as a technique so when you're starting to do all of this stuff and your amygdala is going nice slow breath out and then you focus on well what can i hear what can i hear in the distance what's the temperature of the air on my skin What do my socks feel like against my feet? What's my bottom feel like against the chair? I have been fiddling with things this whole time because, of course, I'm nervous doing this.
