But when you distill it all down, what have you learned about yourself and life from everything that you've done? Oh,
13:10
too much to say.
13:13
Gosh, don't, what's the saying? Don't sweat the small stuff.
13:18
Is that the right saying? Don't sweat the small stuff.
13:21
Things will sort themselves out if you can't have any control over the outcome by making yourself miserable.
13:29
stress about things, sleepless nights and worry, which obviously we all do.
13:34
We all have those times.

Lisa, what's this show all about?
1:49
It's a show that explores the story of a small island where all of the characters that we play are experiencing a feeling of being torn between where they currently are and where they want to be.
2:04
So our sort of central character meets a younger girl who washes up on the shore, which is where we start to get into sort of the Scottish folk tale vibe that comes so magically with the show.
2:20
And it's their journey that helps these two characters find out what's in store for them next.

Lisa, what motivates you young people to put on a show like Islander?
3:52
I think it's a...
3:53
I mean, theatre in general is such a fantastic way of sharing different perspectives and experiences.
23:08
It starts, it goes early.
23:10
Right.
23:11
I, I just wanna make, I guess, a caveat.
23:13
If you've got two toddlers and a baby at home, you probably don't get to be a gym bro and use this as your excuse that you're there for three hours a day, right? It's not about being excessive or, um, that kind of thing.
23:25
But just, I like to say that in Genesis, God gives us plants and animals, and the more we can focus our diet on those two things, the more we can prioritize movement in all different ways.
23:37
Um, you know, it's gonna affect our inflammation, our mental health, our movement.
23:42
And, and it gives you family.
26:06
Yeah
6:45
And you guys sort of at that point sort of had to reinvent yourself.
6:49
Yes, absolutely.
6:50
It was a bit of a shock, really.
6:52
But in some respects, I can't believe just how things aligned for us.
6:58
We were so very lucky that when COVID happened... that we weren't halfway through the project that I was in the process of planning, which was getting the bikes from the US, because we'd returned to the US, and then planning shipping the bikes over to Africa and heading up the east coast of Africa.
7:20
And...
7:21
We then went, oh, when we actually go back to the UK just for my review, how about we put the bikes on a ship, get them from the US, and whilst we're in the UK having all this treatment and review, the bikes will arrive in Africa and we can then go from the UK to Africa.
