So thanks for letting me sneak in just to say hello and to say hi to Chet.

I've known Chet for years and I really value what he's done with his firm and the mindset that he's bringing to the profession about, you know, transforming the way we serve our clients.

And the podcast that you saw as a link on the slide there is amazing.

It talks about some of the challenges that you might face with clients who you're going to run into at the grocery store or you're going to see at church.

So it's not a simple question, but please go to the Resource Center.

So I'm curious, you know, I know because you and I have had many conversations, but for the people on the podcast who may not be as familiar, like kind of tell us a little bit about your role in how you help the industry kind of make progress in those areas.

I tell everybody I have one of the best roles, if not the best role at the AICPA, because I get to travel all across the country talking to people like you and other leaders in the profession who are really great people, really smart people, people really focused on doing the right thing for their people and for their clients and for the profession.

So I lead several teams at the AICPA, one of them doing a multi-year initiative that we call Transforming Your Business Model.

And it is really helping everyone in the profession understand the forces that are causing accounting to may not be as attractive a profession as it was back when I graduated and how we can all fix that.

so much of this so we talk about how firms should have a clearly defined strategy we don't just talk about it we give them tools to implement change and then we have podcasts with both the consultants in the profession who are experts and then peers who have gone through some of these fundamental transformational processes because like i could talk all day long but And you might listen, you might not.

I wouldn't blame you.

But if you hear it from your peer about how they right-sized their client base, and it has absolutely fundamentally changed their mental health, their physical health, their relationships with their family, their spouses, their kids, they're making more money, and they're working fewer hours with the right people.

So how did you stay mentally nimble with that?

What are your reflections on Town Hall's growth as it's now celebrating more than six years of delivering information that CPAs need to know in an entertaining format?

I appreciate that you think we're entertaining.

That's really one of my goals.

When we started Town Hall in April of 2020, we wanted to deliver the latest and best news that we could on issues impacting the profession.

At that time, it was around business relief programs that were being rolled out, like the Paycheck Protection Program, employee retention credits, and those kinds of things.

But our guiding principle has always been, what is the latest, most important news? And what is our analysis of that news that we need to be sharing with the profession? My personal approach is that if you're going to have to listen to me for an hour, I want you to have some fun while we do it.

So we've decided over the course of the last six years, we've kind of created a standing agenda.
