Hello, this is Lisa O'Grady, aka Twitcher.

I first came across Bata when he was supporting Poor Creature at the Bello Bar.

Went up to Dublin to see Poor Creature and this absolutely mesmerising person was on beforehand and was absolutely blown away by his incredible deep resonating voice.

I'd seen the Mongolian throat singing group years ago but this was like so amazing to see one person so in an intimate setting like that and his beautiful horse head fiddle instrument which I'd never seen before either and just his presence he's absolutely magical to behold and so absolutely blown away and thought this lad has to play in Cork so after the show I went up to say well done and would you be up for coming down to Cork and put him on find a place to put him on and of course he was definitely up for the job and his English teacher slash manager Fintan said he would drive him down.

I went home to Cork and I met a friend of mine Maureen for a cuppa and I was raving about bata and she said she has a pub and a little venue and she said well why don't we put him on in the pub it'll be really nice because it's If anyone's ever been to Maureen's, it's one of the nicest places in Cork, really beautiful, intimate.

It's like being in her sitting room, absolutely gorgeous.
