Do you want to talk us through what you're seeing from your patient's experience coming through your clinic?

Yeah, absolutely.

It's a topic that I'm very, very passionate about.

And I'm passionate about it for a couple of different reasons.

Majority, I mean, I say 55 to 60% of our patient cohort are women.

And I think that patients come to us for a couple of reasons.

I think that we really advocate for safe and accessible use and particularly for women's health.

Mm-hmm.

But I wanted to know, what did your family and friends think about you embarking on this cannabis

journey? It's an interesting question and one that I often reflect on, particularly now that it has been almost 10 years since I've been in the medicinal cannabis space.

So a little bit of context for the listeners out there.

I myself am a pharmacist and I'm the CEO of Astrid and we are a cannabis clinic and dispensary based in Melbourne and Byron Bay and online.

And I first got into the cannabis industry by working in a couple of different cannabis companies first.

So it was what we call a medical science liaison business.

which essentially meant that my job was to go and talk to doctors and nurses and pharmacists and educate them on the potential therapeutic benefit of medicinal cannabis.

And I think...

The acquisition of Astrid to Chemist Warehouse was probably one of the most pinnacle moments in my career, but it wasn't something that happened overnight.

And one of the things that I would say to founders is that when you are going through that acquisition journey, you really have to understand your why.

And what I mean by that is it wasn't something that I did non-intentionally.

It was very intentional.

It's an admirable quality for sure, but how have you learnt when to grit and when to quit?
