8:07
Yeah.
8:08
Yeah, exactly.
8:10
But it was just wild, and you can see the emotion.
8:13
I think they changed the rules this year where when you do collapse, you can get aid and help from a medic, not like outside aid, like Brad Williams from Precision was right next to Sylvie the whole time.
8:26
So I think she was able to get help from the medics and still complete the race, which was insane because Nick and I are walking... away like um from the finish line after like the top five or people crossed and hannah berry's coming down and joanna murphy that one of the announcers was like and solvi is rallying she's up and she's gonna finish and we're like no no no that's that's hannah berry like that's your hannah berry's finishing not solvi and then you know 100 meters later it's like she there was solvi finishing and she was high-fiving everyone at the finish line, which was amazing.
9:06
She had a smile on her face.
9:07
So it was good, number one, that she was healthy and okay and so cool to watch her rally and still finish in eighth, which is so wild.

highlights.
9:21
The nice thing about traveling to do these guiding races when it's a series race, so similar to the able-bodied elite races, they have their World Cups and then they have their World Series races.
9:34
So World Series is the top race.
9:36
whatever the whole USA triathlons and like the whole cohort of people to like take care of you.
9:42
So we had the team hotel.
9:44
Yeah.
9:44
People pick you up from the airport.
10:15
Putang Vedra.
51:02
one time you didn't get first in the spelling bee, you got second.
51:05
Exactly.
51:05
But instead of that, it was the mile run in gym class.
51:08
Something along those lines.
51:10
Or the presidential fitness test.
51:12
I freaking loved that.
51:14
Presidential? Yeah.

12 MINS LATER

62:57
Yeah.
24:21
Hmm
24:21
... ask somebody.[laughs] Yeah, somebody- Hey, Iron Man, you'll never listen to this, but let us know.
24:26
No, I'll send it to Scott DeRuwe, Scotty D., Iron Man CEO.
24:30
He might listen.
24:30
Yeah, I'm sure.
24:31
[laughs] I'm sure.
24:33
I'm h- I'm up on number one on his feed.

17 MINS LATER

41:17
Yeah
1:34
did you feel it at what point the most on the run
1:39
um I honestly it was probably the last like eight K I was like, Ooh, this is okay.
1:50
This is far.
1:51
I have a lot left, a lot further to run.
1:54
Um, and it was one of those things where I didn't realize how big of a gap we had, like off the bike to like the next people, like the, the French chick or Oriole or rail.
2:05
I don't actually know how you say her name.
2:08
Um, She was like super far in front of me and then it was me.

17 MINS LATER

19:35
What went wrong with your horrible eighth place of the nation?
5:13
Uh, let's just hear a bit about, since the theme is resilience, I kind of want to just cover like what you've gone through as an athlete, how you've made your way back each time, and, and just the things you're kind of learning along the way.
5:27
Yeah.
5:28
I th- well, I did my first triathlon in 2014.
5:31
I was, um, coaching collegiate cross country and track down at a small university in Illinois.
5:36
And at the time I was a graduate assistant, so I was coaching and, um, going to grad school, and all my other friends were other graduate assistants for the other sports.
5:48
And I was hired on full time for that university, but everyone else was like leaving for the summer, like going and getting, you know, other jobs.
5:56
And like this is a small town in Central Illinois, and I was like, "There's, there goes all my friends for the summer.

6 MINS LATER

12:19
Yes, you were, like, working in the RV there, like-
28:54
And she's authentic.
28:55
Like down to earth.
28:56
She seems pretty down to earth.
28:58
Um, but I would say like from a triathlon, like racing perspective, someone I've looked up to is Rennie.
29:03
Um, and I got Rennie on the tail end of her career.
29:06
So it was, I would probably say different Rennie than when she was winning her world titles.
29:12
Um, I got Rennie that was already like a mom and, and her priorities have shifted and it was just cool to see like she's like i don't know when i'm tired i just i'm tired and i won't do that whatever training i don't feel bad about just like saying it i'm good altering things and she just kind of approached it with a good maturity um and she's also like i just want to go home and like be with my babies
