Yep.
32:59
Parents, let's get, get down, get in the car.
33:01
And, um, I would put my hair up in a sock, right? Designer sock, very pretty, makeup bun on the top of my head.
33:09
And every Sunday, without fail, somebody would say, "Wow, that's really nice.
33:14
Where'd you get that?" I'm like, "If they only knew it was in my top drawer, in my top sock drawer [laughs].
33:21
And I would make my, make my hair into a bun.
33:23
And then after, I don't know, 10 times, the light bulb went off, right? And next person I said, "Okay, this is crazy."

You know, I'd, I'd love to, uh, m- maybe sort of a, a bit of a l- legacy question here for you, but when, you know, when, when you, people look back at your, your, your work sort of decades from now, um, what impact do you want them to remember most?
9:36
Yeah.
9:38
It is.
9:39
And I mean, my clients as well.
9:40
I mean, my day-to-day living is helping inventors.
9:45
So inventors, I consult on a regular basis.
9:47
I create prototypes and create names for products and people come to me.
9:53
They say, I have an idea.

34:10
So tell
18:36
Tell us a little bit about what your book's about, how we can apply it, what we can expect if we bite the bullet, go to Amazon and pick it off a shelf.
18:44
Sure.
18:45
So my book is a guide to anybody who's developing a business, a product.
18:52
Anybody who's an inventor, believe it or not, you are in business, people.
18:56
[laughs] I've had so many people say to me, "I'm inventing a product.
18:59
Am I in business?" Yes, you are.
19:01
So The Inventress' Guide to Inventing the Right Way: All or Nothing covers everything, or h- thank you for the beautiful picture, from starting your business, starting your product development, s- naming it and claiming it.
21:00
... what those steps look like? Like, what can people expect if they wanna start moving their ideas forward? How can we help the audience fill in a little bit of their knowledge gaps today?
3:52
i know i love holding up that mirror to guess because we don't take that time to really think about all that we've accomplished to sit in the seat together and i i'm in awe of my guests and i can't wait to dive into your story and what you're doing So why don't we just start at the beginning and tell us about how that moment where inventing stepped into your identity and you became the inventress.
4:23
Oh, thank you.
4:24
I have been an inventor since, I believe it's in my DNA from the day I was born.
4:30
I didn't know I was an inventor back then, obviously.
4:32
But as a kid, I have to say I was born in London, raised in Brooklyn by West Indian parents.
4:37
Maybe that has something to do with, I don't know.
4:39
Anyway, so the whole raised in Brooklyn thing I think has a lot to do with The innovation and just being able to be full of insight from being around so many different people.
