What's been your big takeaway being back in Greenville? Big takeaway?

I mean, just change, man.

Honestly, coming downtown, we talked about it, seeing the new things.

Yes, a lot of things are for the better.

A lot of things are just history, and I'm all about history.

I'm all about culture, and it's just like, man, I want to see this spot.

It's not here, but you know what? I do like the new spot.

What's it going to be like when you head out to practice Thursday and check it out and talk to the guys?

I

remember in 2007, 2008, we used to have guest speakers come out to the field and talk to us.

I want to say 2008.

The guy that came, he was a quarterback.

He bounced around a couple of practice squads.

I just remember all my peers laughing.

I wasn't paying them no attention.

What was that like? You know, it was fun, but hard work, I know, for you guys.

When you reflect right now, what do you think about your days in the NFL?

Man, I think about, before even the NFL, I just think about ECU, man.

Skip Holtz was our coach.

You know, we had similar stories.

And I took a chance on him just as much as he took a chance on me.

And I just remember in three years, got five rings.

We went to the Hawaii Bowl.

What is your recruiting story? I've heard a few versions before, but what got Linval Joseph to be a Pirate?
