We are reporting on those stories a lot here on Iowa, Iowa Public Radio, but what is the step that you would take should you be elected to become congresswoman?
34:20
So the first step on day one is we've got to roll back the Medicaid cuts, the Medicare cuts, the ACA cuts.
34:30
We've got to take back tariff control, and we've got to end the war in Iran.
34:35
Those are the immediate steps, and I'll tell you, l- let me tell you a little bit about why that is.
34:40
So the one big beautiful bill, um, has caused a huge spike in healthcare costs for people living in Iowa's 2nd Congressional District.
34:49
Uh, this bill alone has jeopardized the healthcare of 25,000 Iowans just in the 2nd Congressional.
34:55
That doesn't include folks outside of that, 25,000 Iowans at risk of losing their healthcare.

40:06
What would be the rule that you would change federally or try to?
38:11
So tell us a little bit more then, to Wolf's question, about why religion is so important to you to convey in your messaging, and what you're hearing from your constituents about religion.
38:22
When it comes to my faith, caring for my neighbor is not optional.
38:25
But that's not just a faith value, that's an Iowa value.
38:28
When our communities are hit by derechos or floods, we're there to protect our neighbors and stand up for our neighbors.
38:35
What I'm hearing across this campaign trail is that people are longing for someone with a moral compass and courage of conviction to go and do right by them.
38:45
My opponent is just the exact opposite.
38:47
He's used his position and power and influence to further enrich his business interests.
38:57
How are you actually, though, threading the needle to attract voters while not necessarily alienating others who see religion potentially as a negative influence?
15:16
Um, Lindsay, um, uh, th- this the kind of sort of wait and see that Peter and others in the industry are still talking about, isn't it? That I presume has the biggest impact on, on particularly big, big importers.
15:28
Yeah, I mean, that's exactly it.
15:30
It's not so much about the, the high price of oil.
15:34
It's about the volatility in the market at the moment, and that volatility really takes quite a long time to feed through to trade, but it does mean you get things like shipping contracts renegotiated, inventories run down, consumer confidence under pressure.
15:49
So, you know, that, that's the big threat here.
15:51
It's just that this, this uncertainty continues, and that's the thing that does the damage.
15:57
But, you know, I think from the situation, the peace agreement that they're trying to, to thrash out, Iran, uh, have very low trust in the US because they were complying with the Obama-era agreement that was torn up in, in 2018.

Just hearing from lots of, I guess, the type of companies that people use and see every day on that.
