Good evening.

I am Lion Linda Melott, and I am a member of the Mayview Lions Club.

My husband Mark and I joined, uh, the club in November of 1999.

We were new to the community and wanted an outlet to, um, join our fellow neighbors in enriching our environment.

Um, one of my most important goals in this club is the eyeglass program, which I coordinate through our local school district.

Uh, we have joined with a local optometrist since nine... 2011, and have served over, um, hundreds of kids that are underserved in the area with eyewear, um, provided to them free of charge, um, through the, you know, Mayview Lions Club here.
