I don't want people to go, "Lookit, he's wishing they swim fast." [laughs]
27:23
At Olympic trials, this was, this was bad.
27:27
Josh was swimming the 100 breast that night, and you were like, I...
27:31
You had a thing for the first two days of the meet, you're like, "I'm not going on...
27:35
I'm not gonna go watch on deck.
27:36
I'm gonna watch from the warm-up pool." And then Josh got third, and then you watched every other race [laughs] from the deck after that.

23:31
So this is funny.
23:32
So I didn't, 'cause one of my best friends who I train with here, Annie Lazor, she's Olympic bronze medalist from, uh, Tokyo games, and she w- she was a coach, so she told me, she's like, "Hey, just take your, take your cap off after your race."
25:18
[laughs]
25:18
But- Lily, if you, if you expect to win, which is part of what makes you a champion- Mm-hmm Do you get nervous? Did-- I know you're retired.
25:24
Did you get nervous? Yeah, yeah, absolutely, especially l- like Olympic trials when you go in, and the whole, the whole point of the meet is you gotta, you gotta be top two.
25:32
So there's usually, you know, 100 to 150 people in your event, and only two make the Olympic team.
25:37
So pretty much, especially if you're expecting to make it, going into that final you just gotta think, "Don't mess up." Do competitors talk? Do you talk to pe- like, you said there's 150 people, and I'm, I'm guessing the top group you expect to win.
