Like, what is that and what is happening inside organizations that leaders are missing?

Lilith ChristensenGUEST
Yeah, so it's really that situation that doesn't quite show up in the numbers yet, but shows up in the way leaders are engaging with each other and the way that they're observing kind of the flow of business has changed.

Lilith ChristensenGUEST
And I think one of the most common things that starts to happen in terms of what I'm calling organizational drag is decisions are getting revisited on a regular basis or they're taking a lot longer than they used to.

Lilith ChristensenGUEST
And the team feels like everything had been working up to a certain point.

Lilith ChristensenGUEST
And now what worked before isn't really having the same results as they used to.

Lilith ChristensenGUEST
So that drag then is what slows the company down, which costs them money from the sense that they're taking longer to make those decisions or having to go back and do some rework and is ultimately something that I find is typically Driven by challenges with communication or unclear decision making, not really sure who's got the ball at a given point in time.

So maybe share a little bit, if you would, about things you noticed that drained you that maybe you weren't aware of before.

Lilith ChristensenGUEST
And I don't I mean, I don't want to dismiss that in a way that says I don't have like sticking power because it's not that.

Lilith ChristensenGUEST
But it but it's if I'm doing that independently, I guess, is really what it comes down to.

Lilith ChristensenGUEST
And part of what was really powerful about that was when we were pulling from my previous experiences and feedback from colleagues from over many years, it also wasn't only in my work.

Lilith ChristensenGUEST
where that was showing up and when I think about the times that I have been most passionate in the community and I mean this even goes back to when I was a teenager like it was initiating activity around a cause that I felt passionate about felt like there was something that needed to be fixed or an aspect of like injustice I suppose that was going on or fairness really like and wanting to address that situation and bring along a group to get them motivated and moving in the direction to address that problem collectively.

Lilith ChristensenGUEST
And then once it was, I guess, raised and I'll say solved, so whether it was something in the county with the different schools and what they were going to build where, then it was being able to, like, we kind of won the initiative and then pass the baton on to others.

Lisa McGuireHOST
And that one is, was there anything you had to let go of in order to claim that name?
