So obviously, transit was one of the big questions ahead of this tournament, just given the sprawl, the famous sprawl of L.A. And these matches were in Inglewood, which does not have tons of transit access from other parts of L.A.

Libby RaineyGUEST
So Metro set up its own shuttle service specifically for the eight matches that took people from locations around the L.A. region, and even a couple of Orange County locations, directly to the stadium and back.

Libby RaineyGUEST
More people took it as the tournament went on, which sort of signaled to Metro that people were hearing about it as the easiest place.

Isaac FaninCORRESPONDENT
Do you think that they will be as supportive as they would be if this Olympics was taking place in perhaps a Republican stronghold?

Libby RaineyGUEST
I think, you know, amongst sort of the local politicians and the people I've been speaking to, there's sort of this idea that why would the Trump administration let the Olympics fail? You know, it's going to be something that they can tout with pride.

Libby RaineyGUEST
But there have also been, of course, concerns about perhaps what strings might come with the Trump administration supporting the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Libby RaineyGUEST
You know, so Could that security funding be contingent on the city of L.A. moving more towards the Trump administration on, say, something like immigration enforcement? Another big issue here is public transit.

Libby RaineyGUEST
Everybody knows L.A.'s public transit system is sort of always struggling to catch up and get people where they need to go.
