How and why did you come to set up your own accountancy practice and then get your first clients too?

It feels like a really distant memory now, if I'm being honest.

A lot's happened since then.

But where I found myself and you mentioned what I'd done previously, I'd had a couple of previous points in my career where I was like, oh, is that not what you normally do? Oh, well, that's what I want to do and went for it.

and one of those was I actually worked in industry and then I moved into BDO into practice like you said into corporate finance and was then confronted by this like this isn't what people do Libby like you shouldn't you should start in practice and then move to industry and I was like well I didn't want to do that so this is what I'm doing do you want to give me a job or not kind of thing and so that attitude I guess carried me through a bit more so I found myself employed in in a job that I wasn't particularly enjoying.

I had a young family at the time, two children, and I had that reality check, which I think a lot of, I'm going to be honest and say working mums have, not necessarily working dads, but working families, yeah, which was if I stacked up my holiday and I stacked up my kids' holiday and I was like, I'm never going to see them.

I'm never going to be able to leave my desk to do those various things.
