And Libby, what are some of the highlights in music this time around?
0:38
For this year, you know, I think what's really awesome about PorchFest is we really make a real effort as the music committee.

Peter and I and a few other Dayton people help go through the volume of applications we get each year.

But we really make an effort of having our tried and true favorites, Dayton Salsa Project, Sharon Lane, all those, you know, people that we... come to just know and love every year a really healthy mix of new artists and we really try to shine a light and bring up because we have such honestly just such a wellspring of talent in this town and sometimes it can just get overlooked we're all busy in our lives and so this is just such a wonderful time to sort of get like a little sample platter of all the talent so I'm personally looking forward to seeing some of the new people I'm always a big crabs without legs fan and Strange Ranger is a personal favorite.

Honestly, it's so hard.

I think picking your path and picking who you're going to go see each time slot is honestly the hardest part.

Libby, what else do you do outside of working on PorchFest?
4:07
Well, I actually booked music at The Bright Side, which is a music and event venue at the corner, kind of close to the corner of 3rd and Kiwi downtown.
