Can you remind our audience, because some of our listeners will know, some will not, can you just tell us about the journey you had, um, from facing Wales and captaining your country to where you are now? And if you can, just the highs and the lot of lows, just give us a bit of detail about it.

Liam WrightGUEST
Um, last two years have been, uh, probably more of, more of the lows on, on that rugby side, but, um, I, I guess good, good growth and good learning.

Liam WrightGUEST
So, um, 2024 kind of got through Super Rugby, played, played all the games, which was probably the first season in a while which I'd done that unscathed.

Liam WrightGUEST
And so I was feeling in a pretty good place body-wise, um, was putting consistent footy together, and I thought good footy together.

Liam WrightGUEST
So, um, a lot of that kind of injury enforced, which was unfortunate, but I kind of knew if I could get my body right, then I could get myself playing at that level.

Has the experience changed your perspective on getting on the rugby field?

You know, I can remember, um, getting on the school bus, um, going home and hearing that, uh, Joe Royle had been sacked.

You referenced the iconic season before, but going into that summer, how do we find the club? How do we find the team? And how were you feeling as a supporter? Pretty down chirpy, I'd imagine.

Liam WrightGUEST
It was like a real state of euphoria for some time because, you know, in quite quick succession, succession we've gone from a team of mid you know being mid-table with a bit of hope to winning the FA Cup which was great but then to win the league it wasn't even in your wildest dreams and then the way in which we won the title you know to win the title on the last game of the season last kick of the season where the the United game had already finished and they thought they'd they'd won it and we ended up winning it you know it's It's like nothing else.

Liam WrightGUEST
And it's obviously something that we still, still sing about now, you know, 14 years later, it's everyone's like best ever moment.

Liam WrightGUEST
And that season was incredible, but it's still the point which everyone refers to.

Liam WrightGUEST
You know, when I think back to that time and that summer, half the people I knew had their ringtone as being the Martin Tyler commentary.
