I guess, is there anything that you would say to anyone in those fields or that's wanting to go into academia that may not be Like entirely common knowledge, I guess?

Yeah.

So to give you an example, I am also a first gen, especially first gen, first gen college student in the sense that my mom does have a degree, but it's not a bachelor's degree.

And so I'm first gen for like the full like undergrad experience.

Right.

And so I really, really benefited from that.

weirdly being the like only person like me in the surrounding area in that I was like the first really out queer person to engage deeply with like the physics department as in like a role in like a leadership role.

What changes do you think need to happen in schools and education to really embrace diversity authentically? And I'm thinking, Yes, diversity in terms of the community, but also since your work is in neurodiversity, you can also talk a little bit about that.
