Like, this young group, um, showed a lot of potential this year compared to last year, and, um, over the next, you know, few years, those boys playing, gelling together pre-seasons, um, yeah, it's, it's not that far away at all.
13:17
Yeah, I always remember the, a few of the older boys talking about the hard times at the Tiges before, before I got there.
13:22
You know, I'd pretty much come after they'd won the flag, and that's what I'm looking forward to the most, um, whenever my time finishes at West Coast.
13:31
Been through a few years of the, of the tough times.
13:34
There's older boys here that have been through a hell of a lot longer than, than I have, but, um, hopefully at the end of the time, my time here, we've got some silverware, and we talk about those tough times and how we grew as a whole group.
13:46
So that's what I'm looking forward to the most, being a part of that and, um, seeing how far we can go.
13:57
[laughs]
13:58
Um, well, I loved West Coast growing up, and that was my first year at the Tiges.

1:00
Yeah.
1:00
Um, you know, young men especially, especially footballers, w- we're leaders when you sign that contract, uh, we're leaders to the community.
1:08
Um, we have to behave a certain way, and, um, so do men in general.
1:12
So I think she put it perfectly.
1:14
But yeah, it's obviously gonna affect AFLW girls and girls in general, whether it's them or people they know, or just in general, it's gonna affect them.
1:22
So, um, we need to s- wrap our arms around them, uh, as we did yesterday, and we will, um, continue to do so, but yeah, I think she put it perfectly.
1:31
Um, yeah, she's a, she's a great person herself, Daisy, and she's a great leader of our footy club and, and the community.
speaker_2HOST
4:59
Yeah.
speaker_16HOST
11:55
Is that not the case in
11:56
the box? I think he might have his little couple of second rants.
12:01
What was the worst? I remember always playing at Port Adelaide and Adelaide Overwood put up Vision of Dimmer in the box.
12:08
So you're out on the ground, and you make a mistake, go through a gull, and then they go up and put the gibber on, and he's going off his lid.
12:17
I'm pretty sure I saw him mouth my name there.
speaker_14HOST
12:34
We'll probably wait and see today, Captain's run, whether he gets through and
12:37
plays.
12:38
Yeah, I think it's pretty minor.
21:19
I came in with intel.
21:20
Well, yeah.
21:20
I didn't really know either, and then I saw that and I was like, "Oh, you gotta be kidding me.
21:23
That's not how he did it." And then, um, apparently there's more vision of him doing it in the game.
21:28
[laughs] And then I think it might've just gave way a bit on him, on the bench.
24:12
Yeah
24:13
...
24:13
I think, yeah, we'll find out today or, um, it, whether he gets up, but yeah, if he doesn't, I'm sure he'll be right next week.

2:34
Oh.
2:35
Not just yet.
2:35
I think they've got a lot of young talent, and they... it's gonna be a long process, but they're gonna get more young talent in the door next year.
2:42
But their older talent at the moment, like a Tom Lynch, probably isn't performing, so they'd love to be able to get Tom Lynch into some form because the senior players definitely help those younger players come through.
2:54
And then it happens a bit quicker.

6 MINS LATER

9:22
Yeah.
9:22
And, um, played a lot of footy together and, um, I know his game really well, and I think, um, he would help us a lot.
9:29
His leadership, um, just his understanding of role and, and demanding of his teammates, he'd be great for a team like us and where we're at.
74:31
How are you seeing all the young group around you as far as energy levels go?
74:37
Oh, no, it's as good as ever.
74:40
And it has been the whole time, really.
74:42
Like I said, the boys try their hearts out week in, week out on the training track.
74:47
But that doesn't affect the mood, whether we win or lose.
74:49
And when you go into those reviews, you know, everyone's a bit more nervous than usual.
74:54
But then after you get that out of the way, everyone's back onto what do we need to do to get better and improve more.
75:28
Just a word on him and what he brought to the group, even when injured.
7:02
How are you seeing all the young group around you as far as energy levels go?
7:08
Oh no, it's as good as ever.
7:11
And it has been the whole time really.
7:13
Like I said, the boys try their hearts out week in, week out on the training track.
7:18
But that doesn't affect the mood, whether we win or lose.
7:20
And when you go into those reviews, you know, everyone's a bit more nervous than usual.
7:25
But then after you get that out of the way, everyone's back onto what do we need to do to get better and improve more.
7:58
Just a word on him and what he brought to the group, even when injured.
6:37
Yeah, right.
6:38
So, um, he stayed away from us, but, uh, yeah, I'm not ready to stay away just yet.
10:40
We love that.
10:41
Yeah.
10:41
Well, the crew that went up north, you know, they were out of reception and no phones.
26:42
like does that feel like you've been working on it that long
26:50
It didn't.
26:51
No, it doesn't.
26:52
And it doesn't feel it doesn't.
26:53
It hasn't ever felt laborious in any way.
26:56
I mean, big.
26:57
And, you know, we we over the years, we've we've honed this recording process down to a way that works so well for us that we enjoy it.

18 MINS LATER

45:08
You're like, oh, well.
