And as I understand it, HEAL was founded to deal with the literal and figurative fallout of the nuclear boom in Utah?
13:24
Yeah.
13:25
So HEAL was founded to specifically focus on environmental health and to catalog and empower folks, ca- catalog the health effects of a lot of exposures that we were seeing amongst our citizens, uh, including fallout from nuclear testing, but also, uh, sort of being downwind from nerve gas incinerators, for example, or MAGCorp at the time.
13:51
And so our focus has always really been around environmental health and ensuring that people have a say in their future.
13:59
And so we've, over the last few decades, been huge advocates for trying to get the Radioactive Exposure Compensation Act, uh, both extended and expanded.
14:11
It, it actually expired back in 2025, I believe, or it was 2024, and then, um, was renewed, the maybe the only good part of the big beautiful bill that went through.
14:24
And so we have thousands of cataloged and, and probably many more thousands and perhaps even millions of, of downwinders who live in our state and who have suffered the health effects from nuclear testing, um, through the '60s and '70s, but also from the uranium industry in general.

So Lexi, before we wrap, I wanna ask, what is giving you hope? What's getting you up in the morning and keeping you in this fight?
