"About this time a man and woman from the tribe of Levi got married.

The woman became pregnant and gave birth to a son.

She saw that he was a special baby and kept him hidden for three months.

But when she could no longer hide him, she got a basket made of papyrus?"

Genesis 2 verse 15.

The Lord God placed the man in the garden of Eden to tend and watch over it.

But the Lord God warned him, you may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.

Yeah.

Obviously.

Yeah, okay.

Yeah, so, for example, like, I live quite far away from town, from Hobart.

It's not actually that far.

So, I often get other people to drive me places.

And so, often the first time I'm driving with someone new, it's like, not that I'm driving, I'm in the car with someone new.

What is the thing for each of you that makes you go, no, I am persuaded in Jesus and Paul was willing to die for it? Levi, is there something, what is the significant thing that persuades you to believe in Jesus?

Okay, starting in Acts 20, verse 20.

I never shrank back from telling you what you needed to hear, either publicly or in your homes.

I have had one message for Jews and Greeks alike, the necessity of repenting from sin and turning to God and of having faith in our Lord Jesus.

And now I am bound by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem.

I don't know what awaits me except that the Holy Spirit tells me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead.

So does that shape the way you're going to read the rest of the Bible?

Have you heard anything like that?

Yeah, definitely.

A lot of people at school are like, like I often get asked questions about, oh, how do you believe in God? Or like, how, like, how do you believe he's there? How do you have proof? Like, how do you actually think about it? Yeah.

And so a lot of the time they just think, oh, it's like, he's not real at all or he's really far away.

Why would he care about us? Yes.

Yeah.

So I hear that a lot at school.

Sure.

Yeah.

This is part of his plan.

He's obviously still using her.

She was given two years to live and that's six years later and she's still going pretty strong.

That's quite incredibly.

So, yeah, I just think she's been really helpful in...

Keeping my faith strong, like not going to, oh, God, why are you doing this? Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah, good job.

And when Ben asked me a question, my brain kind of just blanked, and then suddenly the words just, like, appeared, and I think that could be God just, like, putting the words there for me and guiding me through that, which was good.

Yeah.

It just like brain was blank.

And then suddenly.

Right, starting at verse 5.

And the chains fell off his wrists.

starting at chapter 10, verse 34.

Then Peter replied, I can see very clearly that God shows no favoritism.

In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.

This is the message of good news for the people of Israel, that there is peace with God throughout through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

You know what happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after John began preaching his message of baptism.

And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power.

Has it helped, Levi, seeing other people? Like we've just heard Jason share about how – when he recognised what was going on and that realised he wasn't disconnected, when you see other people in the church community or the Christian community who are a bit open or vulnerable about their struggles or whatever, does that give you any encouragement that you can belong and that you don't have to reach that certain level? Does that kind of push away the comparison that you were talking about?
