Has it always been, the benefits have always went to the ARC then?

Historically, for that event, it has.

Yes, it was kind of created for the ARC by the realtors.

When they decided that they could not carry this on, we had seen how positive that this was for the ARC and the people that had come and talent that comes out of the woodwork that we don't see a lot here at the Lyric.

And we said, we don't want to see this go away.

We want to kind of see if we can keep it going.

and if we could partner with the arc so that they don't lose that benefit and that would give us a community partner so we jumped in and took that on this would be this is our first year and in the past they did that as a one evening event but we decided to break that up into several throughout the year and do levels of it so we we had our general auditions first round now we're in the And after this will be the grand finale.

Well, I mean, I just...

It's, it, I mean, they are art.

I don't, I don't know, like, I'm not gonna defend whether they are or, or are not.

But what I will say is it's a different style of art than theater.

It's, even for actors, it's a completely different method, a completely different way of doing things, but with the same goal of, uh, showing a mirror to its audience and, um, letting them know that the human experience is universal.
