Bueno, primeramente, eh, sí, como lo has dicho, eh, cortaron este distrito específicamente para los republicanos, pero también ese distrito tiene más del sesenta por ciento comunidad hispana, votantes hispanos.

Así es que, eh, primeramente, quiero decirle a mi comunidad que representación de nuestra comunidad es muy importante.

No nada más porque soy inmigrante hispana y hablo español, pero también porque yo sé de muchos los problemas que nuestra comunidad ahorita está pasando.

Y yo sé que muchos de ellos votaron por Trump, ¿verdad? En la última elección.

Y pues muchos de ellos, desafortunadamente, no pensaron de que muchas de las pólizas y de las, eh, de las cosas del gobierno federal que están pasando ahorita, que están perjuri-- perjudicando a nuestra comunidad-

Muy importante.

Y les digo a la comunidad: si tú no puedes votar, tus hijos, tus nietos, tus sobrinitos, tus amigos de trabajo o a la gente que tú conozcas, díganle a todos que salgan a registrarse a votar antes del s-cinco de octubre.

What do you see is possible the day after the election, let's say after they seat you, What are you going to try to do? Is it eliminate ICE? Is it restrict ICE? What is your position on ICE?

Currently right now, and look, I have the backing and the support of a lot of our local law enforcement that I'm very friendly with because we have to support them.

Trust right now has been eroded.

And I'll tell you exactly how.

My parents and other community members that are here legally are too scared to call 911 for things that need to be reported.

So when you hear that crime is down, that's not necessarily true.

It's that people are too afraid to call 911, even their constable office that they're very friendly with, for fear that they may get questioned.

So what got you into this environmental

What has changed on the ground? And what are you hearing from voters who may feel that their voice was diluted when these lines were redrawn?
