When were you born and when did you leave? I want to let people know this was Soviet era Poland, not the current Poland.

Yes, I was born during actually Cold War.

My parents parents squeezed me into 1960s, um, last year of 1960.

So 1969, good year, uh, Beatles will play in and, uh, somebody landed on the moon.

Um, there was also some, uh, some tough things going on Vietnam war and, and cold war for sure.

Invasion of Czechoslovakia.

Um, my life on, uh, on one side of the iron curtain and, uh, Yo Fox is live on the other side, you know, before we met up here years later.

What was life like under martial law and what should Americans be thinking about from hearing what you went through?
