So, yes.

So we passed our balanced budget, and I'm proud of the services that it funds.

The key... priorities, not only of me, but more importantly of my constituents.

And I'm very thankful just to take a step back and dive into the budget we passed.

But we worked on this budget for months in partnership with the community, doing budget town halls across Harris County, We partnered with Kinder Institute to have a budget survey that was taken by thousands of respondents.

And it was very clear that public safety, public infrastructure, disaster response and readiness, and public health are top priorities.

Therefore, we won't accept those funds.
