What do you feel have been the significant factors in, in us coming to this point and the mechanisms now for us to be the, the people that can design change and move forward through tapping into things that yourself has discussed about how we work in communities through belonging, through connection and on, you know, uh, beyond this where we are today?

Leora CruddasGUEST
So I visited last week two absolutely wonderful trusts in the southwest of England, actually in Cornwall.

Leora CruddasGUEST
The one was the West Country Schools Trust, and the other was the Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, TPAT.

Leora CruddasGUEST
And Jen Blunden is their chief exec of TPAT, and she invited me to speak to her head teachers.

Leora CruddasGUEST
And on that day, she was launching a new logo and kind of new strategy for, for, for TPAT, organized around three pillars, and I thought they were absolutely brilliant.

What are CST's most urgent recommendations around this issue? And what do you think trust can realistically do to create a sustainable and attractive career pathways when funding is limited and the graduate market prioritises flexible and elements of homeworking, especially post the pandemic?

Leora CruddasGUEST
So you're right to ask this question, Ellie, and it's a challenging question for us.

Leora CruddasGUEST
And we know that the current conditions of our school leaders, our teachers and support staff are not sustainable.

Leora CruddasGUEST
So data from the charity, the Education Support, who publish every year Teacher Wellbeing Index, tell us that 78% of all staff working in our schools report being stressed.

How has that personal experience of education influenced your leadership and values? And how are those values reflected in how CST supports trust?
