Leonard ZonGUEST
And Using the zebrafish, we could actually mark the stem cells with specific genes, one gene called RUNX1 and another gene called C-MIB.

Leonard ZonGUEST
And one of my postdoctoral fellows, Trista North, discussed doing a chemical screen where you add chemicals to the water and see if you could ever find a chemical that would increase the number of blood stem cells by staining with RUNX1 and C-MIB.

Leonard ZonGUEST
Now, the number of stem cells that is transplanted in a human correlates to the success of the transplant.
