What were your takeaways at a high level?
1:43
At a high level, I mean, I think It was definitely a smaller event than the first event that I attended.
1:54
It was two years ago with you.
1:56
That was like our first time attending where they introduced the AI PC.
2:01
And that was really the big deal, right? Everybody was...
2:06
just really excited about the AIPC.
2:09
The hype site was really in full throttle by the time we hit Germany, right? Because Copilot plus PC was introduced in the March timeframe.
3:17
make enterprise
3:36
So if we compare ourselves with shoppers 20 or 30 years ago, how have we changed? Yeah,
3:43
no, I think that's such an important question.
3:45
And things like the closure of Metro really does make us pause and think about how trends and preferences have changed.
3:52
So I think one thing for sure is that we are now looking at a new whole generation of shoppers.
3:59
And a lot of these shoppers, the Gen Zs, the young millennials, they might actually have grown up with e-commerce.
4:05
So they may not have as much of an attachment to some of these traditional department stores like Metro.
4:12
At the same time, there are a few additional trends that we are also witnessing, one of which seems to be people's gradual focus on more of the experiential consumption than material consumption.
8:35
Now, do we sometimes forget that shopping isn't always about needing something? Sometimes people browse with no intention of buying anything at all.
7:22
I think it's proof of concept right now rather than anything else, right?
7:27
Yeah, there's some progress, but what I've been saying for quite some time is that what people are doing is they're experimenting and they're figuring out what's actually true and false about technology and what they've heard.
7:42
And I've been saying for at least two years that we're in a phase of, we still have yet to really fully transition into this phase of unlearning technology.
7:55
what we thought was true about AI.
7:59
And we see this constantly changing in terms of the talk tracks that we see from the big tech companies, you know, like the AI labs and stuff.
8:07
I mean, who talks about AGI anymore? No one, all of a sudden, no one cares, right? So...
8:14
But there are all these bets that are being made based on two-year-old, three-year-old assumptions, right? And these bets take a long time to actually make.
10:06
So what stage are we at right now? Or should I be concerned or should I be joyful about this?
