Ardy Turner's friends and loved ones, including Len Moore, were warned that Tudor was on the loose.

RCMP in Strathmore came down to my work, called me up to the f- office, to the front, and they said, "Yes, uh, we have some bad news.

Raymond Tudor escaped Drumheller Jail, and we don't know where he is.

So this is just a word of caution to you, and your family, and your friends to be alert." Yeah, it makes you wonder.

There was a lot of restless nights.

It, it must be trauma, I guess.

And why? For nothing.

Car ride and a murder.

One night in late April 1994, Artie called Len and invited him over for a drink and a round of crib, but Len had been injured earlier that week and declined the offer.

You know, I had a heifer calving out, out back, and she was having trouble, and that was the Thursday night.

Had to get the Strathmore vet out.

She did a cesarean on the, the heifer, and we got the calf out, and in the meantime, the heifer got her leg out and kicked me right in the thigh.

And I became just kind of lame, and she never, the we- the vet never left till 4:00 in the morning.

And, uh, I was supposed to work in, early in the morning at 6:00, and it was, like, two hours, and I could hardly walk.

So I phoned in.

Len had a feeling something wasn't right, and decided to take a look inside.
