What does that look like when you talk about something like the shroud, which apparently is approximately 2000 years old? Is that accurate?
5:29
Well, actually, we've got two questions here.
5:32
The first one is the 2,000-year question, and the second one is, are we using the scientific method? Okay.
5:39
So if we're going to approach the scientific method with the shroud, we want to look at the supposed... subjective arguments for the authenticity of the shroud, and then look at the contrary arguments that would expose those arguments as either not true or misunderstood.
5:58
So we've really got to weigh both sides.
6:01
If we're not gonna weigh both sides, we're not gonna do the scientific method.
6:05
Science is not afraid of facts.

18:49
Can you talk about that and how you found that out?
7:13
How do we define the day of the Lord?
7:16
Well, the day of the Lord operates just like a normal day.
7:20
A normal day has a morning star, has a time of dawning, it has a sunrise, and then it has the presence of the day proper.
7:28
The day of the Lord, the first sign of the coming day of the Lord is the morning star.
7:33
That's the rapture.
7:35
The scriptures are very clear that when the Lord Jesus comes for the church, he comes as the morning star.
7:41
Behold, I give you the morning star.
10:38
So you're saying kind of at the start of the time of the tribulation or just before, as the man of sin or the Antichrist is revealed, there's going to be a lot of this falling away that's associated with that, is what you're saying?
9:11
So is the church going to continue to support Israel? Or are they going to go towards where the world goes to about Arab nations, oil, money, gas prices? It's concerning what the future holds for us and especially our younger generation.
9:25
It's absolutely concerning.
9:26
In fact, I think this is part of the great sifting of the last days as the Lord is sifting the faithful church from the unfaithful church.
9:33
And what's interesting is when you look at where we're at right now, if we're as close to the tribulation as we think we are, if the end of the tribulation has everyone who's taken the mark of the beast is the exact same circle, those that are on the wrong side of the Israel issue, that tells us that the current trajectory of antisemitism is the path of apostasy.
9:54
Now, I don't think everyone that gets on this path is apostate in the sense that they're not saved and on the road to hell.
10:01
But by the time this path finishes its course, that will be true.
10:06
And this is really disconcerting for me when you look around the evangelical church and we see evangelicalism becoming the new Protestantism.

But between you and I, just helping people who are listening to this, what's the call to action? What's the solution? What do we do?
KarenHOST
3:01
Wow.
3:02
And that ultimately led to my being born again.
3:05
Well, here I'm now born again, but I don't understand that there's such a thing as Bible believing churches and churches that are pretty far from the Bible, not understanding that there's actually a real program we're supposed to be following that's found in the pages of scripture.
3:23
I get in the army about two years after I'm born again and I start reading the Bible and my life gets turned around.
3:32
It's...
3:34
The Bible actually has answers for every deep question in the human heart.
3:39
It has answers for every error, every problem, every conundrum that we're going to face in life.

Do the seals begin before or after the rapture? Are we in the seals right now? Should we take the seals literally or should we generalize them and water them down so that they don't have quite the force they actually have in the text of the Bible? Stay tuned for an investigation of these questions.

[dramatic music] Hi there, I'm Lee Brainard.

Welcome to Sooth Keep and another edition of Prophecy in the Crucible.
0:45
My mission is truth.
0:47
Truth above every other consideration.
0:50
Truth that God will own as truth at the judgment seat of Christ.
13:45
Five months divided by 150 is 30.
13:49
That's exactly right.
13:50
And so what's also interesting is we find evidence all around the world for a 360-day year.
13:57
For instance, this comes from ancient India.
14:01
And one of the great scholars in the field is G. Thebo, who wrote tremendous amount of literature on ancient history and ancient science.
14:11
And he wrote in one of his books all the beta texts speak uniformly and exclusively of a year of 360 days.
14:20
What year was this, roughly again? So the Veda texts were basically, they date from about 500 BC all the way back to 2000 BC.
18:08
And then that's what led them to realizing something had changed.

37:49
He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.
37:54
Yeah, so very fascinating subject that we have here, because what's going on is we've got two lines.
38:03
We've got the serpent line.
38:07
or the seed of the serpent, and we have the seed of the Messiah or the messianic line, the seed of the woman.
38:13
And so once the seed of the woman, that line gets going, it goes all the way to the Messiah without a break, and then the Messiah is born, and then he continues all the way to the end.
38:24
The serpent line, once that gets started, it's got to have a a connection, it's got to be a parallel to the Messianic line.
38:34
So there's an unbroken serpent line from the original incursion all the way to the Antichrist.

Do you believe Babylon in Revelation refers to a literal city, a future global system, or both?
12:55
And
12:55
I find that this problem is a continual theme in the church in general, in individuals in particular, that if we're not careful, we are going to cool off.
13:05
We're going to lose that initial zeal.
13:08
We're not going to be excited about Jesus.
13:10
We're not going to be excited about salvation.
13:13
I've seen so many young men that when they were young Christians, two, three years in the faith, they looked like they were going to be giants for the Lord in the next decade or two.
13:23
And yet, Five, six years down the road, they get married, they get a career, they get kids, and they taper off.
17:29
Who in your own lives Do you really appreciate, do you thank the Lord for pouring into you their faith and handing down that true faith in Jesus Christ?
14:58
So why should I even consider that the rapture will be happening in my lifetime?
15:02
Well, every generation from the apostles to the present day has lived under the expectation of the soon coming of the Lord, lived under the expectation that the Lord could come in their generation.
15:14
And this wasn't without reason.
15:16
I mean, think about it.
15:16
If you lived in the first generation of the church, You had just seen the events of the 69th week come to an end.
15:24
You saw the Messiah close.
15:26
You know you're in Daniel chapter 9 verses 24 through 27.
18:24
So applied to the church, how have we drifted into confusion or even just blase, carelessness about some of these promises, especially over the past 2,000 years?
10:13
But from the early church fathers forward, there have been faithful Christians who have taken the Word of God as literal and true.
10:22
Absolutely.
10:22
For instance, in Irenaeus' work against heresies, we read in Book 5, Chapter 34, Section 1, that there are two distinct programs under the heading church.
10:38
So he's got the New Testament church and the Old Testament church.
10:42
And when we go to book four in chapter 31, we read the story about Lot and his two daughters.
10:52
And he claims that this is a picture of the two synagogues or the two churches, the Old Testament synagogue, the New Testament synagogue, the Old Testament church, the New Testament church.
11:02
And then when we come into back to section 34, chapter 34 in book five, he's very clear that he's going to regather the Old Testament church when he's done with the New Testament church.
15:04
Lee, do you know of any medieval church figures down through the ages who also believed in God's provision and plan for the Jewish people and supported their rightful return to Israel? Or do you think that the dark ages, as we think of them, were a darkened period of understanding of Bible prophecy? Were there some shining lights in that period?
11:15
Yeah.
11:15
I s- I decided, "I'm gonna get to the bottom of this.
11:18
I'm gonna go right to the horse's mouth." And I decided to look at every instance of apostasia from its first instance all the way to 500 AD.
11:27
It took me two years of research.
11:29
I looked at 283 passages in Koine Greek, read them in their context, and translated about 40% of these passages into English because they didn't have existing English translations.
11:44
And I found English translations for about 60% of them.
11:49
The, the body of the book is only about 120 pages.

18:14
Hmm.
4:48
Consistently.
4:49
Yeah.
4:49
You're gonna be consistent about it.
4:51
You're gonna, uh, you're gonna let Israel be Israel.
4:54
You're gonna let the church be the church.
4:57
You're going to, uh, trust the plain statements about the tribulation, about the Antichrist, about a millennium, about the thousand years, about the arrival of the s- the kingdom at the second coming.
5:09
You take all this at face value.

21 MINS LATER

It's interesting how they're forcing a New Testament dispensational distinction, I don't know why they embrace that, on the passage, but that's not what the passage is saying.
