Yeah, sure, story-wise and characters.

So, like, when I, when I think of the, like, story of Mario Galaxy the game, uh, you know, like, it's, uh, uh, Mario comes, like, uh, to, to the castle for a party, uh, for a party.

Bowser wrecks the whole thing and steals Peach's castle and, like, kidnaps her and stuff, then, like, we meet Rosalina and all that.

Uh, basically swap the roles of Prince- uh, of, of, uh, Peach and Rosalina, and then you have the Mario Galaxy movie, like, plot.

Um, I know, so as somebody who hasn't played the game, um, what is it about the game that, that people like so much? Like, this is, when I hear, like, top Mario games, this is, like, one of the ones that comes up a lot, so I'm kinda curious.

Yeah.

Uh, [clears throat] it's, it's definitely my favorite Mario game, for sure.

And, like, uh, this is getting i- into, like, some, like, backstory stuff, but like, uh, uh, like, back when I was, like, nine or something, like, I can't exactly remember, but, like, it was n- like nine or 10, uh, I, I had this game.

How did your debt, uh, creep up at that time?

Well, [laughs] in 2008, I decided to go back to school.

I had done college credits when I, uh, graduate, you know, after I graduated high school, but I never had gotten a degree.

So, and then there was, like, a couple of other reasons why I chose this time to do it, but the impetus was my finance [laughs] loving mom.

She decided to go ahead and do a reverse mortgage on her home, and then she wanted us to have the money while we were still alive and c-- well, she was still alive, [laughs] and she could see us enjoy it.

So, um, we each got a $10,000 CD and then $10,000 in cash.

And I immediately was like, "Oh, this is my time to do three weeks in Europe," and I really, really wish I had done that.

And, and in the coming months, what are some of your financial goals and then sort of long-term dreams?

Yeah.

Um, and then I started some travel, which has just snowballed in recent years, and now I often travel solo and independently, or if I'm traveling to more out there kinds of destinations, I usually travel in small adventure type groups with companies dedicated to that kind of travel.

That's my main modus operandi.

Yep.

And I did four bus tours altogether, but I did manage some independent time.

I spent independent time in Seattle, and I spent independent time in Chicago, and I did Texas on my own for eight days.

But I needed to do bus tours to, I had an extensive list of places I wanted to see in the US, and bus tours were the only way I could get there because public transport is not as convenient getting around in the US as it is in Europe-

[laughs]

Yeah.

We have nine, I think nine employees now, and seven of them are women, or six.

And I'm the seventh.

Um, and you have, uh, your...

Judy, your longtime manager, is a woman, and Heidi is on your team.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

No.

And I mean, it was uncomfortable to be sitting there, but it was literally the only seats, and my friend was like, "Oh, there's two seats at the bar." And she led us over there, and I sat down and I looked over.

Oh my God.

And there was Will.

And I was like at first like initially kind of thinking, "Oh, what a coincidence.

Maybe he's just here." And then I see there's a girl next to him, and I was like mortified.

I thought I was gonna die.

Yeah.

No.

And I mean, it was uncomfortable to be sitting there, but it was literally the only seats.

And my friend was like, "Oh, there's two seats at the bar." And she led us over there, and I sat down, and I looked over.

Oh my God.

And there was Will.

And I was like, at first, like initially kinda thinking, "Oh, what a coincidence.

So you have a crazy wedding story for us?

Yes, I do.

So it was in 1997, so quite a long time ago.

Our wedding date was November the 15th.

It's chilly, but fall leaves, it was gonna be beautiful.

We booked this beautiful park.

What was your food like?

In the morning, it was a cup's worth of oats.

Sometimes there would be a little bit of cinnamon in there, which was always really fun, but it was used so sparingly that you couldn't really taste it.

And then for lunch it was whole wheat tortillas with two scoops of peanut butter.

Sometimes we'd get tuna.

And then for dinner it was rice and beans.

Usually it'd be, like, a cup of those.

How would you describe New Leaf Academy?

You have to put waders on 'cause it's muddy.

We went all the way up to the bramble and through the bramble.

We kinda, like, got a good look of what it actually looks like.

So when it popped up in the, the documentary, I was like, "Wait a minute." We took up a Google Maps, and I took the photo, and we're, like, matching up the background.

So we saw the water tower.

I saw Nassau University Medical Center in the background, and I was like, he's, you know, right at Hemlock Cove.

Yeah.

When you come down, right in front of Hemlock Cove, basically, you'd find Asian Doe.

Leanne, tell me just a little bit about yourself, just so I, when I meet someone for the first time, I like to ask just a few questions, find out who they are, where they're coming from.

Yeah, for sure.

And, uh, I'm from Toronto.

Um, and I'm actually, I'm an engineer, so I went to school.

Uh, I did engineering in school, and now I'm a mechanical engineer.
