How did you first get into the automotive industry, and what made you stay?

So, yeah, I joined in 1999, if you can believe that, which ages me incredibly.

But I started with Chrome Data, and I actually got my start at Chrome Data.

Like, I never meant to get into automotive.

I'd moved to Portland right after school.

I knew I wanted to live in Portland, and I went to a job there.

And Chrome was there.

Why do you think automotive creates such a strong personal and professional communities compared to other industries?
