Right.
7:43
So let's say that you have a photo that you really like, but it's maybe 10 to 15 years old, and maybe you got a little bit more gray hair, or, you know, maybe your weight is different.
7:54
Either way, um, but let's say that someone connects with you that maybe they wanna do a new project and they're interested in is your hospital a good partner for them.
8:03
And you set a time to meet at a conference, or you set a time for coffee, and you show up and you look nothing like your picture.
8:10
Regardless of the integrity you have, the trust, all the things about your reputation, that first impression of you is going to make them hesitate because you don't look like your picture.
8:23
So that is my biggest pet peeve.
8:25
But then a few other things is, like, if people comment or ask you a question if you have posted, but then you check out for a couple weeks, if you don't respond to their comments, that's a big mistake that people make because then people will be less likely to comment on your post the next time.
9:40
You know, l- like on the flip side though, what are some of the best practices for LinkedIn that you can share with us?
21:56
So walk us through that a little bit in terms of if I'm a founder and I'm on a podcast or I'm on a news media hit of some sort, walk us through that strategy and how they can do that in practice.
22:09
Yeah, I love this angle.
22:11
And we talk about it quite a bit as far as the value of being on a podcast, of having some video.
22:19
So first, if it was something like this, you can have that first touch point on LinkedIn to say, hey, I'm so excited that I'm going to be talking to you later on.
22:28
And if someone introduced you, it's a great chance to also tag the person and say, Hey, thanks for introducing me to Tom.
22:34
And I'm so excited to talk with you.
22:36
And you do it on LinkedIn first.

7 MINS LATER

What strategies have you seen that really work the best for companies trying to extend the impact of conferences just beyond that trade show booth? Do you have any thoughts for us there?
