And then most recently, uh, we just finished the development phase for Rhino Rescue, the GCF, uh, community in situ education board game.
2:44
Yeah.
2:44
Super exciting.
2:46
It's super exciting 'cause it's, like, o- one, the first thing that we've done kind of like this in terms of having, like, a physical board game, but new for me, too.
2:53
So, um, yeah, since we last talked, I've gotten the opportunity to do so many different things, and just now as you're, like, rattling them off, I'm remembering more and more.
3:03
We just have so many things going at such a fast pace, which honestly is what I like the most about GCF, is there's always some new challenge and some new opportunity to learn and strengthen your skills.
3:14
Um, so I think last time when we last interviewed, it was shortly after when I was out in Africa on deployment for helping teach TC- TECC or learning TECC under Chris Larson, um, our previous lead instructor in that field.

Um, Lauren, with your background in so many different education projects, let's talk about why a physical tool like this is so important for younger kids, but also older kids when it comes to education aspects where a classroom PowerPoint or video just doesn't cut it.
1:15
So let's start first with like, so how in the world do I go find the right affiliates? If I've decided that with Organifi, I've I'm targeting more, let's say, people that are trying to lose weight, right? How do I go find the right affiliates that are focused on talking to an audience that's wanting to lose weight?
1:33
Yes, great question.
1:35
And basically, we're taking somebody through the whole journey, right, of starting from the ideation stages and just of interest.
1:43
And now you're ready to connect with affiliates.
1:46
and so you by joining in the network you get access to the affiliates and that's one of the benefits of joining a network and outside of a network you can absolutely connect with people on like facebook groups and maybe on linkedin and it's kind of ad hoc right and it does take some manual effort so that does exist that just natural facilitation of relationships But once you're inside a network and a company like ClickBank or another network, what they allow you to do is to join a marketplace.
2:15
And the marketplace is not consumer facing, it's for affiliates.
2:18
And affiliates are coming every single day to be able to see what offers are there and what they can begin to promote.

I think the other thing you alluded to that will be important to discuss is how do I determine what my payout ratio is, right? Like What percentage of the sale am I going to give to these affiliates so that it's enticing enough, right? I don't know, is 1% good enough or does it need to be 50%? So what are some guidelines and rules of thumb as it comes to payout ratios for affiliate marketing?
10:29
Mm-hmm
10:29
... and seeing that because I think seeing that every day, uh, has such a huge impact on you.
10:35
When we were in California, we had a garden, and just seeing the changes every single day from our roses, from our lavender, like, that gave me so much peace of mind.
10:45
And Matt and I would go out in the morning before we started our workday, and, like, I felt like, you know, I, I-- my dad is an old Chinese guy, so like an old Chinese man, I put my hands behind my back and sort of wander slowly around the garden and, like, point things out.
11:00
That was, like, our favorite thing to do.
11:02
Uh, now in New York, we, we don't have that.
11:05
We're in an apartment.

... anymore, and it's like, Jesus, it's, it makes it very difficult to shop.
