So what was the final decision that you said, "Okay, I'm gonna apply to vet school"? Because you had another job, I'm assuming, and then you started the shelter, and then what, what made you bridge?

Yeah, so I guess...

Well, what happened, I was living on Guam.

I had my first child.

It was the pandemic.

I couldn't find daycare, so I was like, "I will start fostering dogs." I love fostering dogs, but then I realized nobody wanted the dogs, and so I'm like, "Am I gonna keep these three puppies for the rest of their life 'cause I already have dogs?" [laughs] Like, I don't need more.

So I met somebody who was, who had flown a dog off island to somebody stateside.
