What is for couples, particularly maybe if you can separate out for an older group, but what does it mean? How do people make sense of draw meaning from this LAT relationship?
10:39
Yeah, so one of the first sort of main themes, I guess, if you want to call it that, that we talk about in the paper is that people who defended their relationships or talked about them on the grounds that they helped them prioritize their personal independence as well as protecting themselves from personal risk or harm.
10:57
I'll talk about those two separately.
10:59
It's probably not surprising the focus on independence, but they did speak about lots of providing time and space to pursue their individual interests Sometimes your professional careers, really helping them prioritize what they want and need at this time in their life.
11:14
So that could be things like decorating in place the way they wanted to, choosing the artwork, going to sleep when they wanted to, making their own financial decisions.
11:22
That was really big and so forth.
11:24
And I remember one participant said he could sit naked on the couch if he wanted to and no one would get after him.
