So give me one person, a Sergeant, a supervisor, really anybody who taught you something about leading people that you still use.
8:25
believe this or not this was a sergeant of mine on the special response team i was a lieutenant and he was i had two sergeants and his name was richard warren richard's deceased now but richard was in the national guard but i would watch him he was patient he he never lost his cool especially with personnel he talked to people so i you know i watched richard i said you know There's something to learn here from him, even though I'll rank him or I'm his supervisor, whatever the case may be.
8:59
So I'll have to give Richard, rest easy, Richard, the accolades for what I feel like he taught me as far as being able to supervise personnel, no matter what the situation may be.
9:18
You treat people the way they want to be treated.
9:21
and this is a little different law enforcement, you know, because a lot of things are at stake, but the way I, I'll leave by example, I feel like, and I learned it from him or part of that from him.
9:34
I learned a lot from my dad too.
9:35
Okay.
10:07
So what are your changes in mind for the
62:15
Well,
62:16
you know, as far as their safety is concerned.
62:20
And if I'm going to, try to keep your child safe in a middle school and a high school.
62:28
Why can't we do it in an elementary school? You know, then the private schools jumped on board and stuff.
62:34
So it became a debacle to an extent, using your words.
62:38
Okay.
62:41
Trying to do that because, you know, When the city kind of did like the former sheriff did with it, when Chief Hanson was the chief of police for the city, it was like on Monday, he said, Friday is our last day of SROing.
64:21
Okay.
