How are they functioning? And then how should they be functioning to allow the research to take place as it should, and then working out how it applies into needs today and into the future? Where are we missing stuff?

Yeah.

So I'm gonna tell you a very short story, and, and then I'm gonna make an analogy for the whole nation from that story.

So when I first went to Stanford, I was a PhD student.

I became a physicist in quantum physics, and I thought the way it all worked was I'd invent something brilliant, turn it into a product, and then the market would beat a path to my door.

And it read like that in the brochure, but that's not how it worked in practice.

And I realized that the thing I had to learn was that you don't start with the invention.

What are your thoughts on it?

Yeah.

Ed rides a lot, and Ed was down in f- I think Phoenix, Arizona on a, just riding, and he stopped at a gas station, saw another guy with an Indian.

They talked for, like, two minutes, and Ed mentioned the ride to, to this guy.

Um, flash forward four months, and, uh, the guy at the gas station is talking to someone at, on opening, on day zero in the parking lot.

And he's like, "Yeah, I met this guy at this gas station and yada, yada, yada.

He told me about this ride, and I said, 'Yeah, you know, that sounds like a good idea.

I think I might go.'" And he started planning it and showed up, and he goes, "I can't, I don't r- remember the guy's name.
