I'm crazy blessed to be in this position, to be able to compete with this group of guys because they're special.

What did it feel like pitching in this championship series? Did you have nerves? Because it looked like you stayed under control very well.

It is your city

... it's always the underdog.

And- These, the people that live there, man, the, the, the things they've had to go through and, and the years o- of losing, man, they deserve this.

And we wanna give them the, the, the most, we wanna give them the most enjoyment out of this ride as we can.

And we, we have a great, great team, and I don't think who ma- matters who we get.

I'll, I'll put these guys up against anybody.

Right.

We l- we were in LA, I remember watching the news, and we, we genuinely wanted to get home as bad as, a- as bad as possible 'cause we wanted to, we wanted to, you know, try to impact the community.

Is there anything you'd change right now with your, you know, mechanics or anything else that you've been working on, a new pitch, anything that you feel that you're gonna be comfortable being ready to throw once you're ready to rock?

Yeah.

You know, last year, obviously, coming off the injury, long, long break, uh, wasn't a, wasn't a great go for me.

Um, but I think you go into the off-season, you're honest with yourself, you kind of can take that as, you know, a ability to kind of step back, strip the mechanics, kind of get to where you wanna g- where you wanna be.

My sinker, um, was just really flat, dying on me last, last season.

It was, uh, tough for me to control, tough for me to challenge guys in the zone with.

Um, so this off-season, I kind of went, I, I went all the way back to, you know, 2015, 2016, saw where the arm angle was before I had surgeries.

Where does he need to take that next step to be an ace in this league?
