To me, the bigger question for Kentucky is not, what is this team going to be in the next few years? It's that when they start to have success, will they be able to keep Will Stein in the next few years? Because he may have bigger suitors come calling for him because I think he's going to be that good.

to kind of stay on just the hype and excitement that we've got here at Kentucky.

And you're saying you're a little bit higher on them.

One guy in the industry that I give a lot of credit to, and I think y'all were talking about on yesterday's squad show, is Phil Steele and kind of his rankings for the SEC and everything.

And you look nationally, he's got Kentucky ranked, what, 56th? And he's got them at the bottom of this league.

I said on yesterday's show, in my opinion, what Kentucky has done this offseason The head coach they've hired, the portal class that they brought in, the quarterback that they got, all of these different things.

It's not indicative of the 15th or it's not what the 15th or 16th best team in this league does.

If you're just going to pencil them in as a four-win, five-win team, I think you need to look a little bit closer at what they have.

I feel like he has to get every win because, as I mentioned, two less wins in year two versus year one for Mark Pope there in Lexington.

Yeah, and again, I want to kind of take this back to just Kentucky Slate as a whole, because I do really think I wholeheartedly agree with you there.

You got to win this one if you're Kentucky.

This is a big game on the road against what will likely end up being a quad one opponent.

You can't afford to miss many of these, especially considering how your non-con slate went a season ago.

Obviously, one of the better parts of it was the fact that you did beat Indiana and Rupp, but still going like nine and five or whatever it was just is not going to cut it in Lexington.

You've got games against Kansas in Chicago, Indiana and Indianapolis.
