When did it start happening for you with, like, legitimate people going, "Hey, Lamont, we believe in you, wanna invest in you"?

Shortly after my appearance on your show.

You know, there, a, a multitude of things started happening.

Um, uh, this appearance i- in conjunction with, um, you know, Questlove, the drummer of The Roots, and, you know, the leader of Jimmy Fallon's band, um, he, he po- he reposted one of my covers, and Dave Cobb saw it and reached out and signed me to his imprint, Lost Hill Records.

Tell me about your Grand Ole Opry experience.

It was am- it was amazing.

Um, again, Vince Gill, uh, got to sing with him, and he's just, like, the nicest human being in the world.

Um, I had done background vocals on a song of his, and my mom is such a big fan.
