What are the first steps in assessing organizational exposure to quantum disruption?
10:13
So from a leadership's perspective at NASA, right, Awareness is our first step because not everybody walks around with quantum computing as their topic of the day or even their interest of the day or even knowing what risk we are facing right now, right? So awareness is the very first step at least at our organization and i would say at many other organizations because if you don't know about it you can't fix it it's kind of like having an attacker that you don't know that they're getting ready to attack you so awareness and education on what quantum computing is, what systems are currently vulnerable, which in our world, as Patrick just explained, it's pretty much everything that we use.

I mean, we have computers at work where we use PKI and VPN and all of your things that you have are password protected.
11:28
And so in this current environment, awareness and a strategic plan.
11:35
So you can go nowhere without having a strategic plan of how you defend against attackers, if you will.
11:43
And just as my friend Patrick said, we don't know when the risk is going to occur.
11:50
Well, not the risk, the attack.

And frankly, I think it's an opportunity, right? To grow your skills, to grow your network
