Mm-hmm
2:39
...
2:39
it doesn't matter.
2:40
Like, it was my family, my husband's family, and then our bike friends that followed me, and those ones got, like, I don't know, 50 to 100,000 views, and I was like, "That's cool." And the comments were, like, weirdly not taking someone's blah, blah, blah.
2:55
Yeah, so maybe there were some negative comments.
2:57
There definitely were, and a f- I got a few comments that were like, "Well, like, you would never beat the men's time.
3:01

Yeah, yeah
6:08
exploded and and the reasons why and then like how did this all start
6:14
um so we changed my i i purposely changed my instagram handle last year to laney bones because i had planned to start racing this year and i was like i'm also getting married this year so as a woman you become less searchable on the internet once you start changing your name and so i was like people are going to be confused i was like surely someone out there will look me up i mean i was like i bet i'll be good Like, I'll get some result at some point.
6:45
Someone will look me up, and I'll be, like, lost in the internet.
6:49
And my nickname growing up from my grandpa was Laney Bones because I was, like, kind of a, like, gangly little four-year-old.
6:58
And I have always thought that that was a very cute nickname.
7:00
And so I switched my handle last year, which was a good move because it also sounds like a little bit more of, like, a creator Instagram versus just like a person.
7:16
And I like, like in my head, like Holy Spirit of gravel, like Lenny is Holy Spirit of gravel, which is like a good branding for her.
