Do you feel like you've got the cattle coming in to replace those big players who have left?

Yeah, I think it's obviously really hard to replace players like that.

And even if you bring in a quality player, it's history, it's relationships that you've got with those boys that some people don't always understand.

You think they're just getting a direct replacement.

But yeah, we've brought in some good players and obviously I think this year it's going to be... heavily reliant on the young boys um you know we we blooded a few last year that did well when they came on and sort of got you know a little bit of experience um so yeah i think now they'll have a bit more time and a bit more game time to show what they what they can do and yeah they're definitely um you know just through the pre-season definitely up for the task so it should be exciting

What did you take from those two games?

Yeah, obviously, you know, it's tough.

It's probably not, you know, the ideal pre-season games, obviously.

How does that sound?

Unbelievable, mate.

Honestly, um, sort of loss of words.

You know, when I, when I signed here at the start of the season, you know, I was, you know, not in the best place mentally.

Uh, had a, had a terrible stint, um, in America.

And honestly, when I came here, all I wanted to do was just, uh, enjoy football again and, you know, there's, there's no better feeling than winning my first championship, so I'm abso- [laughs] I'm absolutely buzzing, mate.

What was it that put the smile back on your face?

How does that sound?

What was it that put the smile back on your face?

Is it fair to say that the cohesion, the team is flourishing and on the same point? I think you had 16 shots throughout that match, could have been even more devastating towards the end of it?

Yeah, for sure.

I mean, I was 3-1, but their keeper made some really good saves.

It was frustrating.

Yeah, it was obviously quite frustrating for us, especially when we were at 1-1.

I think we had about four or five chances before we got the second one.

But at the end of the day, that's a positive for us.

Was the pressure there? Could you feel the tension amongst the group?
