Okay.
17:56
The half-solved for us, and we have a lot of these conversations about what is AI in the organization and in organizations more broadly, is there's now a tendency that I Produce something with AI very quickly, and I put it out to the world, right? My boss says, "Hey, I wanna see this thing," and that's 8:00 AM on a Monday.
18:14
I publish it by 8:45 on the Monday, and then it's out in the wild.
18:18
I was reading something recently somebody wrote on LinkedIn, which is my version of Instagram, and they said, "The amount of time it takes to consume a work product should never be more time than it took to produce it." So if it takes 30 minutes to read that document, but I produced it in five minutes using AI, I'm being disrespectful to my audience, and that really caught me when I read that.
18:41
I thought, "That is really profound," because it's easy to produce a deliverable these days with AI, but then I'm expecting my audience to really spend time digesting it, understanding it, applying it, et cetera.
18:54
If I weren't willing to spend the time on the front end, that's disrespectful to them as an audience or as a client or as a customer.
19:00
And so one of the things that we're really talking with inside the people team right now is how do we help our workforce make sense of how do you use AI in a responsible way to get your work product started, to QA it, to amplify it, to accelerate it, and at the same time make sure that it's still yours? And I'm hypothesizing that at some point we're gonna have some type of ethical use thing that's gonna come where people are going to be asked, either really or figuratively, to basically sign this thing and say, "I produced this product using AI.
22:52
... with each other?
12:55
Mm.
12:56
And because you think about this really complex thing that's out on the ocean that has lots of wires and lots of explosive stuff on it, a spark can happen, and all of a sudden you've got a fire on your ship.
13:06
So everybody in the Navy, every single person, officers to enlisted, we're all taught the first day of whether it's officer, candidate school, boot camp, you name it, to fight a fire and to put a fire out.
13:18
The first thing we gotta do is take care of the ship.
13:20
Because when we take care of the ship, we all get home safely.
13:23
Or generally speaking, we all get home safely.
13:25
So you take care of the ship first, and you protect it from dangers.

9 MINS LATER

Everybody's, like, scared about multiple year renewals at the moment, but like what are you keeping and what are you encouraging or experimenting with it being built via AI?
