But, um, you know, finding, trying to be adaptable to the horses to a degree.

Um, you know, I don't, everybody kind of has, like, their program and, like, their steps that they run through.

But that's not gonna work for every horse, so you kind of have to adapt.

But again, what is the end goal? Is this horse gonna be an open horse that, you know, like, I'm gonna show for a couple years before the owner steps on it? Is it a young horse that we're developing to, like, try to teach at some events and then sell it, and then the next person's gonna kind of work on it some more before, before the owner jumps on? What is the owner? Is the owner, like, a super capable amateur or youth? Is it a select rider? Is it a novice? Like, you know, you're always, you always have to kind of keep those things in mind because when you're a non-pro, you're training your own horses, that kind of stuff, like, you can kind of get away with a few things.

Like, oh, well, this horse is kind of silly about how you ask it to lope off on the right lead, but if you finesse it just right, you can make it look fine.

And, like, even as an open exhibitor, like, if you don't have somebody showing that horse, it's kind of easy to fall into that trap of like, oh, well, if I just kind of finesse this, like, I can make it look good, but then the person following you cannot.
