Why has it taken so long for auto loan refinancing to break through into mainstream consumer awareness, and what finally changed?
1:17
that is a great question so something that i've heard actually quite a bit throughout my career when it comes to mortgages is marry the house date the rate and so when when you're looking for a house it's a very long-term commitment right you're getting a 30-year mortgage and you're you're making a choice on where you're going to live which is a huge decision and then depending on what the rate environment is like You get to change your rate throughout the term of your loan by refinancing, and people understand that because of the long term of those mortgages.

And when it comes to auto loans, people typically change their cars every two to three years.

At least historically, that's what was happening before COVID.

And then COVID hit and changed a lot of things.

And it not only affected the rate environment with cars, but it also affected the value.

So if you go on a little bit of a history lesson over the last six years with me, you know, used value skyrocketed.
