Three weeks though, is that the norm in terms of responding to complaints, particularly in informal settlements? Do you want to talk to us or expand about what makes it so difficult? Because that would seem like an unreasonable amount of time to wait, even given understanding what you've said about the context here, that it's a long, long time to be without power in the middle of winter.
2:17
It is quite a long, long time.
2:19
I think maybe I should just bring in also that we were struggling with the major storm outage, I think, over the past 43 days, including the assessments, the work done, the design.
2:34
From, I think it was the 11th and the 12th of May, where we had the storms, the massive storm that affected our HV network, throughout the Western Cape, we allocated most of our resources to the storm.
2:46
to fix the HV network, because what happens is if you don't fix the HV network, then your MV on your medium voltage and your low voltage, they'll be affected.
2:56
So you need to fix your main line before you can fix your medium voltage and your low voltage network.
3:00
So we have allocated resources there, and I can proudly say that we actually completed our restoration.
4:32
Can you give us any kind of timeline realistically when listeners and residents who've reported these issues can expect to have their supply restored?
46:46
Give us your name and tell us what role you're going to play in our upcoming July San Francisco Martyrs Day event.
46:54
Hi, I'm Kyle, Kyle Cookson.
46:56
Good to meet you.
46:58
So I am here helping out Joy with a lot of the technical aspects, you know, the marketing, outreach, that kind of stuff.
47:09
And, you know, I met Joy through A Meal with Dignity.
47:13
And...
47:14
Yeah, I did an event with her.
47:55
What attracted you to Martyrs Day? Why does it interest you as a young person?
