Tell us about that.

Look, I, I, I had a little strategy 'cause there was like ...

One of the twins had this reaction, like, this, the, his face just started going blush pink to purple, and because people were looking at him, it was just getting worse.

And so I was using that as I was like, "Oh, Luke must be a traitor.

He's going purple." And anybody that kind of defended him I knew were, were a traitor, and anyone that was, like, entertaining the conversation was a faithful.

[laughs] So who were you close with while you were there? Who do you think you would've worked with moving forward?

I kind of, that's ki- my, my assumption.

So who were you close with while you were there? Who do you think you would've worked with moving forward?

Yeah.

So we're more colleagues than we are anything.

So I thought we would've had more of a connection, but yeah, they, they didn't really offer anything.

And so m- when I came to them, 'cause I came to them and obviously Alvin and all the rest of them were around them.

I went to Reese going, "Okay, this is my moment to let the person that I know and trust, 'cause we have connection outside of the space, I'm gonna tell them because at least they will hear it from me if anything happens." And what they said to me, I don't know if it was shown 'cause I actually didn't watch the episodes.

Um, uh, R- Reese was like, "Oh, let me sleep on it.

Yeah

Can you, if you remember any particular moments with dad or, you know, the violence that you speak of, any stories that come to mind that are evocative of what it was like for you?

There's definitely many instances, many stories.

I think the thing that I really struggled with was was having all of these things happen within the home environment and then going to church, going to this Jehovah's Witness church.

Right, you were a Jehovah's Witness family.

But there's all these things.

My dad was also an elder of the church.

And so there was all these things happening within the household.

And yeah, how about in terms of like the cultural connection that you have? I know on RuPaul's Drag Race, you spoke about this quite openly, that there was a sense of wanting to really represent your culture through your performance.
