Can you just explain a bit what this is?
11:57
Yeah.
11:58
So the long-range financial plan sets out, um, a 10-year plan for us to, uh, monitor different, um, financial metrics and make sure that we're on the right track.
12:11
It gives t- more transparency and clarity to the public about what our policies are on, um, financial management.
12:18
And one of those things is in, in years like this year where we can't necessarily bring, uh, a mandate, um, to council to, uh, approve because there will be an entirely new council next year, um, we have a plan that's already set in place where we have a 3% tax levy increase or, and, uh, for operating and a 5% for capital so that we have some sort of policy in place that we can fall back on there where, where we can't have that council approval.
13:21
... can you explain a bit about the new incident, uh, response policy that was brought up at the committee meeting this week?
13:29
For sure.
13:29
So when we were doing some research about the, uh, mobile safety, uh, and security response pilot that was recently, uh, approved by council through the budget process, um, one of the things that we realized, we already had a procedure for staff to, um, be able to, uh, use trespass notices to, um, kind of curb, uh, disruptive behavior and, and threatening thing, like, situations, but we realized that we needed a more transparent and, um, consistent approach across the corporation.
