Last year is that when Congress did file impeachments, um, folks like Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi were actually fired by the president because the American people were clear they didn't want them in those jobs of trust.

So I-

Okay, so, so we should impeach people because, quote-unquote, "The American people don't want them in jobs of trust." Number one, that's not true.

Mm-hmm

... rather than Kristi Noem.

Now, uh, Mark Wayne Mullen took over Ice earlier this year when Kristi Noem got the sack, and e- Right from the beginning, in his hearing, he said, "We want ICE to be in the news a lot less than they were under Kristi Noem." And look, you gotta say he's achieved that.

Yeah.

They are in the news a lot less, and it's not just 'cause people are ignoring the atrocities.

Oh, no.

Quite the opposite.

They've actually sped up since Kristi Noem.

And this court ruling has just confirmed what a lot of people were arguing was that DHS had been essentially directing cuts to FEMA in a way that violated the post-Katrina rules that essentially made FEMA a little bit more independent than other DHS components and essentially forbade DHS officials from directing sweeping cuts at FEMA.

U.S. District Judge Susan Ilston's ruling found that under former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, DHS officials unlawfully advanced a plan to cut FEMA's workforce by 50 percent.

This lawsuit had played out basically over the course of calendar year 2026.

And by the time it got to back and forth arguments in court, FEMA and DHS had actually backed away from these steep cuts.

What was Secretary Mullen's response to the ruling?

It was interesting because he did not oversee this plan.

This was advanced, as I said, under former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

And under Secretary Mark Wayne Mullen, FEMA has actually started hiring again.

The gambling, the murdered gambling addicted dog? No, I don't recall.

It was Kristi Noem.

No, I'm kidding.

Oh, that checks out.

I want to thank Kristi Noem for doing a really terrific job, and all of the other members of the administration.

And it is so frustrating to me that people don't understand how much normativity is involved in choosing what you want to present to somebody such that it doesn't really matter if the fact – like you could choose facts that are incorrect and still convey a truer sense of what happened than choosing only facts that are correct, which could convey a very poor sense of what happened.

A really good example of this was when Kristi Noem said that Alex Preddy approached officers with a loaded firearm.

like strictly speaking this is 100 factually accurate but it is so unbelievably misleading that firearm wasn't drawn they didn't know he had a gun on him he wasn't waving it or anything like yeah he had a gun concealed carry on him but people have this weird thought that as long as the facts are correct then that must mean that everything i'm reading is correct and the impression i'm getting is correct it's hard to make people understand that that's the editorializing that goes on that goes on when you choose what you want to present somebody is sometimes just as important or more important than the facts themselves yeah

Right.

Constantly molesting animals at the airport, catching birds and snakes on people's patios and leaving dead bears in Central Park and the brain worm guy, that guy.

We are only months removed, you know, a couple of years now, but we're just a few, a little bit of time removed from Kristi Noem writing in her book about murdering her dog, Cricket, a puppy.

like 12 or 13, maybe 14 months old.

Just a puppy that she dragged to the gravel pit and murdered.

Remember this, Governor Kristi Noem says, I want the truth to be out there after viral story of killing her dog.

Please remember this moment from Face the Nation back in May of 2024.

I know you know this question is coming because there's been such an enormous backlash about your revelation that you shot and killed a wire hair pointer named Cricket, who is 14 months old.

tie a dog to the roof of the car? Or was that Sarah Huckabee Sanders? Or did they both do that? They don't care about animal welfare.

That case in point, Pam Bondi.

Case in point, Kristi Noem.

You look at this and you're building an organization.

You can't build it with people who don't know anything and who have not been like you just cannot.

Uh, we definitely have some instances of people being let go.

I'm thinking about Greg Bovino and Kristi Noem, you know, and Pam Bondi.

Mm-hmm.

But they feel like outliers compared to the vast majority of people in the administration.
